Acıbadem Labmed is Türkiye’s first medical laboratory accredited to ISO 15189, the international quality standard for medical laboratories. The accreditation dates from 2005. Acıbadem Labmed brings the laboratory services of Acıbadem Healthcare Group together at a single point, under one set of standards. What accreditations does Acıbadem Labmed hold?

Acıbadem Labmed became Türkiye’s first medical laboratory to hold ISO 15189 accreditation in 2005. The accrediting body at that time was DACH. Since 2010, the accreditation has continued under TÜRKAK. The laboratory has therefore kept the same accreditation line for two decades. The most recent update was made in 2026. That update confirms the laboratory’s accredited status is current.

Which specialised units operate under Acıbadem Labmed?

Labmed Central Laboratory has provided wide-ranging diagnostic services since 2002. Labgen carries out genetic diagnosis based on DNA, the material that carries inherited information. Its test panel is broad and expands quickly. Labcell works on stem cell technologies and on cord blood services, which use blood taken from the umbilical cord. Both follow international standards. IDTL supports transplantation with advanced tissue matching, known as histocompatibility testing. Clinlab specialises in chromatography, radioimmunoassay and other specialised diagnostic tests.

Test requests, catalogue searches and results are handled through digital channels. Patients, physicians and hospitals can submit a test request online. The test catalogue can be searched from the same channels. Enquiries can also be sent that way, without a visit. Answers usually arrive within one business day.
